Governor Okezie Ikpeazu signs the Abia State Water Bill into Law
The Executive Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (PhD) has signed into law the Abia State Water Bill. During the event, the Governor launched the Abia State Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Policy and declared a state of emergency in the Abia State Water Sector. The event which took place on Tuesday 27th April, 2021, had in attendance the Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Okochukwu, the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem, the immediate past Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources, Engr. Emma Nwabuko, the Acting Permanent Secretary Ministry of Public Utilities and Water Resources, Engr. Chika Friday, the Chairman Board of Directors Abia State Water and Sewage Corporation, Mr. Henry Akujuobi Nwachukwu, the Managing Director Abia State Water and Sewage Corporation, Engr. Leo Ogbonna, top Government Executive Council Members, members of the Board of Directors, Management Staff of the Ministry Public Utilities and Water Resources and Abia State Water and Sewage Corporation were present during the event.
