What determines the tariff charges ?
In line with AbSWSC’s policy to provide safe, affordable, and accessible water to its customers, a tariff structure was designed based on citizens’ input. The Tariff will also enable AbSWSC to recover the cost of investment, operation, and maintenance.

ASWB changed to AbSWSC through an executive order in 2018 and formally through the Abia state water Law in 2021. ASWB has been transformed into AbSWSC, a corporate entity that is professionally managed, commercially driven, and financially viable to provide efficient services through global best practices and ensuring sustainability.
How much should I pay as connection fee ?
In other to promote financial transparency and accountability, AbSWSC operates a cashless system. Potential customers are only required to pay into any of the AbSWSC designated accounts or use electronics payment options provided. Connection fees vary based on the category in the tariff structure.
